Three Ways(Photshop & MS powerpoint) to Remove The Background of an Image

   Using Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is an amazing software.It has number of tools which provide different ways to strip background from an image.Here we'll start with easy and simple method.

  Method 1.

 In this method we'll use following tools:-

 - Magic Wand Tool 

 - Background Eraser Tool

First, you'll need to open the image you wish to remove the background from in Adobe Photoshop.Here I'm using an image of buildings with different shades.

 

Once you've chosen the image you want to remove the background from and opened it in Photoshop.Watch the tutorial below and follow steps.

 Method 2.

 In this method we'll use following tools:-

 - Magic Wand Tool 

 - Layer Mask


This method is slightly different from above one.In this we create layer on our image.

Starting steps are same open the image file in Adobe Photoshop.

Note : In above Methods we save our result with ".png" extension so that Transparency of background remains.

Using Microsoft PowerPoint

As we know everyone cannot use Photoshop.In Office 10 and higher versions Microsoft done a great job by providing this tool.

Original and Sample

You can use the automatic background removal or you can draw lines to indicate which areas of the picture background to keep and which to remove.

- Click the picture that you want to remove the background from.
- Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the Adjust group, click Background    Removal.
